Active Rebate Programs

Rebates last verified: September 28, 2026

Upgrading your heating, cooling or water heating can cost less than you think. Clark County homeowners can currently get up to $1,500 back on a heat pump water heater, up to $1,250 on a central heat pump and more from Clark Public Utilities.

Short answer: The biggest savings right now come from Clark Public Utilities. Federal tax credits for heat pumps and geothermal ended December 31, 2025. We'll help you find every rebate your project qualifies for before you buy.

Clark Public Utilities rebates

For Clark Public Utilities customers with electrically heated homes. Amounts and rules are set by the utility and can change without notice.

  • Heat pump water heater: $1,500. For a qualifying Tier 3 or Tier 4 heat pump water heater that replaces an electric tank water heater in an existing home, or a split-system heat pump water heater in a new or existing home. One per home in most cases.
  • Central heat pump (converting from an electric furnace): $1,000, or $1,250 for a variable-speed heat pump. The heat pump must be rated 7.5 HSPF2 or higher and installed by a contractor in Clark Public Utilities' Contractor Network.
  • Ductless heat pump: $900. For homes heated with baseboard, wall or ceiling heat, or an electric furnace.
  • Smart thermostat: $140, or a free model through Clark's online marketplace. For homes heated by an electric furnace or heat pump.
  • Weatherization: Rebates on insulation and windows for electrically heated homes, plus free insulation upgrades for income-qualified customers.

Federal tax credits

The federal tax credits for heat pumps and heat pump water heaters (25C) and for geothermal heat pumps and solar (25D) ended for systems installed after December 31, 2025. If your system was installed on or before that date, you may still be able to claim the credit on your 2025 tax return using IRS Form 5695. Talk with your tax professional.
